Lai Restaurant reimagines upscale Chinese dining as a series of theatrical perspectives. Our lighting strategy was rooted in the "Chiaroscuro" technique—using a purposeful contrast between light and shadow to honor the intricate textures of traditional Chinese craftsmanship.

By integrating concealed architectural lighting, we achieved a warm, inviting glow that accentuates the restaurant’s unique structural features without the visual clutter of exposed fixtures. Every luminaire was strategically positioned to enhance the richness of the interior palette while maintaining a strict low-glare environment, ensuring the panoramic views of District 1 remain the undisputed protagonist of the evening.
